Hydraulic Servicing & Repair,
Auckland
Silverdale Mechanical Engineering provides expert hydraulic system servicing and repair for excavators, diggers and heavy plant machinery across Auckland. Hydraulic systems do the heavy lifting on modern equipment — and keeping them clean, correctly pressurised and free of leaks is essential to reliability.
Our technicians maintain and overhaul the core components of your hydraulic system — rams, hoses, cylinders and pumps — so your machinery keeps working reliably under pressure, shift after shift. From routine hydraulic oil and filter services to complete pump and valve overhauls, we handle it all in our Silverdale workshop or on-site.
As an MTA Assured workshop and authorised Kobelco service agent, we understand the hydraulic systems fitted to New Zealand's excavator and plant fleet. We use a systematic approach: inspect, test, service and replace worn components — then pressure test the system before it goes back to work.

Is Your Hydraulic System
Due a Service?
Hydraulic systems give clear warning signs when they need attention. Common indicators include drooping or slow-moving attachments, drifting rams, whining pumps, hot hydraulic oil, or visible oil leaks around hoses, seals and fittings. Contaminated or low oil is one of the most common causes of premature pump failure — so regular oil and filter service is well worth it.
During a scheduled hydraulic service we change the oil and filters, inspect all hoses and fittings for wear and leaks, check ram and cylinder seals, and confirm the system is operating at the correct pressure. Where we find a damaged ram, hose or pump, we can replace or overhaul it — minimising the downtime that costs you money on site.
We also carry out hydraulic system maintenance as part of our scheduled plant servicing, and our mobile unit can attend to many hydraulic jobs on-site at your worksite.
